In Year One we are initiated into ASOS, a community dedicated to the work of self-healing, healing others and healing the world. From the first day of class we begin to form an intimate community that will support us throughout the training.
Year One begins a process of deep transformation in which we begin to see and experience life in a totally new way. We are immersed in the understanding that relationship is the most essential condition of the universe. We come to understand the importance of relationship as a container for healing ourselves and others. During this year we become more embodied, more present and more whole as we reclaim our original and authentic ways of knowing and living. We look at the residual wounding of our childhood from a new perspective and begin the transformative work of integration that will enable us to become trustworthy and open-hearted IKH healers.
In the first year we set the stage for our introduction to the language of the Kabbalah as we begin to create the inner conditions necessary to be able to hold the states of consciousness that will be taught in years two and three. To this end, we learn meditations and teachings that help deconstruct historical beliefs and patterns that no longer serve us and support new ones that will bring us into a larger view of ourselves and of what healing truly is.
